This last weekend, saw quite a few shoots going on and the weather was kinder than during the previous week!
Fauxdegla held the 4th DTL Welsh Qualifier, with our own World Champions taking part!! Both Elis Jones and Chris Moule scored 100/300’s-fantastic shooting both-though Chris was using 34″ barrels, so was closer to the clays lol!! Joint 3rd were David Baugh and Paul Davies, on 100/298’s. Special mention to Mark Williams, on shooting his first 100, for 100/295! Congratulations!
Still with DTL, The Gozo 200 DTL Open is on from May 6th-7th and this invitation is because of the welcome, their shooters received last year. Contact details are on the link, but your DTL Reps will also be able to help, if anyone is looking to fly out and compete.
SW2000 had a 2-day OSK Welsh Selection shoot. On the Saturday, English shooter Mitchell Brooker-Smith was High Gun with a 96-Alex Wells was B Class winner with 87, Anthony Cox was Welsh High Gun on 86-Joint C Class winners with 78, were Georgina Shephard and Rob Harry and D Class winner was Martin Beaumont with a 77.
On the Sunday, Mitchell Brooker-Smith was again High Gun with another 96-Anthony Cox was B Class winner, C Class winner was Rob Harry on a 77 and D Class winner was David Jones with a 73. Well shot all!!
At Sunday’s Bowen Sporting Challenge at Dovey Valley Shooting Ground, there was a shoot-off for Champion between Martin Myers and Josh Keeble, after they both shot 100/120.
After the second round of targets, Martin edged Josh, to become the 2023 Bowen Sporting Challenge Champion. Thank you to all that supported the event and the WCTSA for manning the Pool Stand!
Next weekend, there are the 2 ABT Welsh Qualifiers at SW2000 and the NSK County Final at Crynant SG.
Don’t forget that April 30th, is the 50 Bird Olympic Trap Farewell Shoot at SW2000-please support them to thank them all!
