In NSK, Dave Tavernor shot another 100 straight at Nottingham GC. Forms looking good for the upcoming HCIT!! Well shot Dave….

SW2000 held the Olympic Trap Welsh Grand Prix and on a warm, but unsettled day, weather-wise, Mike Wixey was High Gun on an excellent 95….Congratulations Mike.

At the CPSA Game Fair held last weekend, Ben Hollamby was crowned Champion of Champions, but runner-up was Mike Jones. Very well shot Mike..

24 competitors took part in the 50 ESP qualifying round with Sam Ward (Staffordshire), Michael Cyffin-Jones (Shropshire), Cheryl Hall (Oxfordshire), Ron Chipman (Yorkshire), & Ben Hollamby all making the cut to go thru to the 5 shooter 25 Sportrap final.
After the 25, Ron dropped out of the running but Cheryl, Sam & Michael all tied on 20ex25 to force a shoot-off for 2nd & 3rd place. Ben, however, shot extremely well in windy conditions to win outright with 22ex25.
The shoot-off for 2nd & 3rd place then saw Sam & Michael tie again on 8ex10 with Cheryl just missing out to finish 4th with 7ex10. A further sudden death shoot off then followed with Sam missing one target and Michael hitting both to secure the Runner Up spot.
Congratulations to both for some fine shooting on some testing targets!
For Welsh shooters, the big event on the last weekend, was the WCTSA Sporting Welsh Open, held at Lea Farm SG. Thank you to all that came and shot-134 scores in total and especially to those that travelled from the Isle of Man!
Congratulations to Andrew White, on becoming the 2022 Sporting Welsh Open Champion, with an excellent score of 97/100!
