Thank you Andrew…..

As you may have seen from Andrew Humphries recent post, he’s decided to give up shooting.

As a shooting regular over the years and as Gwent’s County Coordinator, he was a well known face at shooting grounds. From a personal note, I’d like to thank Andrew for his help and friendship over the years and on behalf of the WCTSA, thank him for his continued efforts and support!

I’d also like to wish every success to the Welsh shooters, heading out to Fujairah in the UAE for the Desert Mountain Classic! The scenery and topography will certainly make for an interesting shoot!!

A bit closer to home-but nonetheless with stunning scenery and topography, Dovey Valley Shooting Ground is again hosting the Bowen Sporting Challenge, on Sunday, March 12th. With great cash prizes and shooting 120 targets, spaces are now limited-so call DVSG on 01650 511252 to book your place on this superb, early season competition shoot.

At the weekends 100 Registered ABT at Fauxdegla SG, High Gun was Graham Evans with a 93/100, with Pete Roberts in Joint 5th on an 86! Nice shooting both!!

Also at Fauxdegla SG, was the 100 Registered DTL, with Glyn Jenkins High Gun with a 100/295-Great shooting Glyn!!

At SW2000, the news there was that shooting was to cease from May 1st-another huge loss to Welsh shooting. We wish Mike and the whole team at SW2000 best wishes for the future and thank you for all of your support over the years.

On Sunday, the last of the UT Winter Series was shot and congratulations to Simon Jenkins coming first with 0 points, Phil Dando second with 2 points and Dale Oram third with 4 points. Well shot all!

Finally, at Brook Bank Shooting Ground last weekend, Phil Morgan shot a perfect 100/300 at their 100 Registered DTL. Congratulations Phil-well shot!!
