It’s Beginning To Look A lot Like Christmas…….

Irrespective of the weather, there was quite a bit of shooting going on over the weekend. Shoot report by Alf Weston for SW2000 below

SW200 hosted our 100 target OSK Christmas shoot Saturday 10th December. Turnout was excellent with four squads of 4 on two ranges

We were pleased to welcome Freddie Killander, one of GB’s top OSK shots along with Mitchell Brooker-Smith one of GB’s best OSK Juniors and they certainly didn’t disappoint with scores of 99 and 93 respectively

The day was dry but very cold on Mynyddislwyn, which made these scores all the more convincing. Top Welsh shooter was Tony Cox with a very respectable score of 86… da iawn.

The presentation ceremony was a mixture of Class cash prizes, Open prizes, Welsh-only prizes and the first presentation of the Paul Jenkins Memorial Shield presented to Tony Cox by Lindsey Jenkins.

The day was rounded off with Maxine Smiles Cooke serving 18 various Indian curries complete with poppadums and a selection of Naan breads, a tall order for anyone but executed perfectly by Max for which we are most grateful. If that wasn’t enough, there was a selection of non-alcoholic drinks, Fruit cake, Chocolate cake and mince pies… I can assure you the aroma was amazing and no one went home hungry !!

Hosted superbly by Mike Amodeo and his team with Sian keeping us organised. A big thank you to SW2000 for their donation of Welsh-only prizes.

Seasons Greetings and looking forward to the New Year

Best wishes

Alf
