Another full weekend’s shooting, from near and far!!
Starting with DTL, Brookbank SG’s High Gun was Phil Morgan, with 100/298! Nice shooting Phil.
At Fauxdegla SG, their 100 Reg DTL was won by Alan Evans with a 99/292!
Staying with DTL, at the Staffordshire Championships, Graham Evans was HG Overall and HG Veteran on a 98/292. Well done Graham. He also shot the ABT West Midlands Intercounties Championships at Garlands, coming 4th overall, Veteran Silver Medal, Shropshire Team HG and Team Bronze Medal with a 92/100. A productive weekend’s shooting Graham!!
In the Welsh NSK Team shoot at Gloucester GC, Gareth Irving was on top form, with a maximum 100! Great shooting Gareth!!
The Welsh OSK Team also had a Team shoot at SW2000, training for this week’s upcoming HCIT at Esker SG. Sponsored by Mike Amodeo and Alf Weston, this was a very helpful training session.

Moving on to Olympic Trap, Griffin Lloyd SG, held a 100 Reg competition. Scores were close at the top, with Mike Wixey on 90, Phil Dando on a 91, just being pipped on a 92 by Jonathan Davis. Well shot!!
At the 3rd Welsh FITASC Selection Shoot at Ferndale GC, 2 shooters were tied on 96-which after count-back, Luke Llewellin was HG. Both shooters were closely followed by Jon Kendall on 95, Bleddyn Lewis on 94 and Nigel Hart on 93.
A Class winner was Richard (Brewster) Hughes
B Class winner was Stuart Hart
C Class winner was Annalise Evans &
D Class winner was Peter Hutchings

Finally, the last F….Finland, where the Nordic Championships 2022 have been held. Representing GB in Junior Mens Trap, has been Owain Humphreys, who shot a PB of 118/125 to qualify for the final in 1st place and who finished a very creditable 4th place. Da Iawn Owain!
In the Team event, Owain, Thomas Burns and Ben Killian, after a tense final against the Finnish team, earned themselves a Silver Medal! Congratulations all!
