Our young Welsh Shooters had some fantastic results at the 2023 BUCS Championship (British Universities & College Sport), which is the highest ranking university and colleges fixture in the calendar.
It took place at Orston Shooting ground last weekend over a 100 Sporting course.
I am pleased to say that Rhys Powell (WW2868) – Cardiff University – won the gold medal in the individual category with 92. Way to go Rhys!!!
Jacob O’Loughlin (WW2817) – Oxford Brookes – finished equal 3rd with 90. The Oxford Brookes Men team finished 2nd in the team event, and Jacob’s performance helped to secure this. Great shooting Jacob!
Other notable performances came from;
Jacob Addis (WW3169)- Cardiff – who came equal 23rd on 76
Iwan Mills (WW2790) – Oxford Brookes – who came equal 28th on 75
Felix Hughes (WW3097) – Cardiff – who came equal 32nd on 74
These results were out of a field of 177 competitors! So we would like to congratulate all of our Welsh shooters on their performances.
