This last weekend saw the first 2 ABT Qualifiers, held at Fauxdegla SG.
The weather gods were smiling, as the whole weekend was beautiful, with clear blue skies, sunshine and only a slight breeze to potentially affect the shooters.
But that breeze wouldn’t trouble the Welsh shooters, with plenty of big scores put in over the two days.
As usual, the ground was looking superb and the shoots ran like clockwork.
On the Saturday, Welsh High Gun was shared between Gary Beagan and Mike Jones on 96. Gary deserves a special mention for his score, as after only 12 shots, he had a gun malfunction and shot the rest of the day using Graham Evans’ gun. Not too much of a problem-but Gary shoots left handed and Graham shoots right!!
On the Sunday, the temperature seemed a bit cooler, but there was hardly any breeze to trouble the shooters and the targets were spot-on!
9 Welsh shooters shot over 90 and High Gun on 98, was Graham Evans-his gun must have taken tips from Gary!
