The Olympic Skeet HCIT was held in Esker, Ireland, this year on Saturday the 9th August and another superb event it turned out to be, thoroughly enjoyed, despite our short numbers .Sadly, due to personal circumstances one of the team had to pull out at the last minute which left the Senior team one short to compete for a Tournament award.
Rob Harry had agreed to support the Senior team and after a request to the Captains and managers of all the other teams, they agreed to let him return to his Veteran Class, where he won the veteran trophy on a “shoot off” against Mervin Sinclair from Scotland. Brilliant and Well done Rob !

The tournament was running like clockwork and Captain Tony Cox had everything under control until, unknown to Team Manager Alf Weston, there was a surreptitious attempt to kidnap an Abacus, reportedly last seen heading in the direction of Banagher High Street.

Fortunately, recovery was at hand… and we managed to organise professional Security to make sure there was no repeat of such mischief.

The banquet and award ceremony were held at the Tullamore Hotel and this year the top Welsh trophy was won by Tony Cox with the Runner up Welsh trophy won by Rob Harry. Congratulations you guys !
All in all, an excellent Tournament and the English team Captain Luke Young invited us to Eaton Hall, Derbyshire, next year 2026 for the 51st OSK HCIT, something to look forward to.
Best wishes
