The weekend’s weather was glorious and was a very busy time at Fauxdegla SG, where they held both the Welsh ABT and ESP Qualifiers on Sunday.
This was the 5th and final ABT qualifier-full results below and now the Welsh ABT Team 2023 can also be announced.
Congratulations to everyone that has qualified for this year’s team, which has 5 new Welsh caps. The Team Captain is Graham Evans and the Team Manager is Clive Bowen. The full team is shown below.
On their 100 DTL Reg, Alan Evans was HG with a superb 100/299-well shot Alan!
And Fauxdegla’s third shoot on a very busy day for them , saw 85 shooters, compete in the 4th Welsh Sporting Qualifier. With the only score in the 90’s, High Gun with 94, was Mike Jones!!
A special mention to WCTSA Chairman, Rob Harrison-the only A Class shooter in the Top 10, with an 88!!

Also at the weekend, Crynant SG held the 8th Welsh NSK Qualifier. With just what the weather ordered-an ice cream, Dave Tavernor was High Gun on a 99! Well shot Dave!!
Griffin Lloyd held a 15-bird DTL re-entry last Friday, ending up with a 6-way shoot-off, won by Dave and Mark!
At Phil Morgan’s DTL shoot on Sunday, Tim Howell shot the only 25/75 of the day, taking the £40 pot!!
This coming weekend, sees the 5th Welsh Sporting Qualifier at Ferndale SG on Saturday, the 9th Welsh NSK Qualifier at Gloucester CSC and the 5th Welsh OT Qualifier and Welsh Grand Prix at Griffin Lloyd SG. Good luck to all shooting these qualifiers!
