Sporting Intercounties Report by Dan Rees

Thanks to everyone that attended the sporting intercounties final hosted by Cefn Tilla Clays.
A testing course was set with lots of variety with targets being set to a fairly stiff standard in comparison to previous finals.
Congratulations to all individual winners and county teams on your Placings, a massive congratulations goes to Dyfed shooter Iwan Evans for his first overall intercounties title taking victory by an overall margin of two after shooting a 93, managing to go one place better than his runners up place in 2023.
Special mention goes to, John Hoare for his third Junior title in as many years, Ray Webb taking Super Veteran honours, Joni Gooch taking ladies champion, Charlie Cashell winning the Colts class and Mr Chairman himself Robert Harrison taking both Non international HG and Veteran HG in amongst a strong field of international and ex internationals.
Congratulations to Martin Myers also who was overall HG on 94.
A good entry of shooters entered the shoot with 125 attending across the day which is a good indication that sporting intercounty shooting in Wales is still in relatively good health.
If anyone has any suggestions on how to improve the format of intercounty shooting within the discipline then please do not hesitate to get in touch with myself or the board, the  strong support and entry of these shoots ensures the continuation of intercounties shooting in Wales, thanks again to all and see you next year.
