Well, we did pick the right weather for the day, if anything a little too warm and sunny.
The shooters were being very sensible with their water intake, One had 6 bottles of water over the day not to mention cups of tea. We must all keep hydration in mind as we pass through the summer months.
Tony Cox put in a consistent 22,22,21,21 to make 86 the winning score and it was good to see a few more scores in the 20s Rob Harry, Dave Jones and our new cap Richie Cann, who put two 20s in.
A good effort all round … well done all shooters… we now have sufficient data to verify and confirm the team for Northern Ireland in August. Thanks again to Jackie, Tracey and team for their help and cooperation.
Next up is the Welsh Grand Prix, a 125 target two day event, on the weekend of the 13th and 14th July.
The Saturday will be 75 targets and the Sunday 50 targets plus the final. This is an Open shoot with WCTSA medals and perpetual trophies to be earned.
All good wishes
Alf
