10th August HCIT arrangements
The post-tournament banquet will take place at the Armagh City Hotel, 2 Friary Road, Armagh BT60 4FR (Tel 028 3751 8888), banquet tickets will cost £40 per person.
A special rate for accommodation B&B has been negotiated with the Hotel .. I think it is £79.00 Single and £99.00 Double but I will confirm in due course – please quoteUlster Clay Pigeon Shooting Association when booking. It is wise to make your own bookings as the cancellation policy for group bookings is more punitive… see below:-
“Cancellation Policy:
Please be aware The Wellington Park Hotel operates a 24 hr cancellation policy and Armagh City Hotel operate a 48 hr cancellation policy, any rooms cancelled after this time will be charged in full. In the event of a “non arrival” the 1st nights accommodation will be charged. Group bookings with 6 or more rooms, the cancellation policy is 1 month prior, any rooms cancelled after this date will be charged in full.”
On Google Maps, the hotel is only 30 minutes from the shooting ground via the A28… so this year I recommend we use the banquet hotel instead of the Cohannon Inn … this will avoid drink-driving issues after the banquet and we can also change comfortably before the banquet.
