Olympic Skeet Selection Shoot Report by Dave Jones and Alf Weston

A pleasant spring day on Saturday at Crynant, with not a breath of wind and temperature of 18 degrees… what a welcome change from the previous week.

The shoot kicked off with first shots around 10.00am and we were through, shortly after 2.00pm, with just two squads. Our host Chris Hughes was his usual hospitable self and looked after us well. Top score of the day went to Tony Cox with a respectable 85 followed by Des Davies on 74 and Rob Harry on 72. Well done everyone… that’s another 8 qualified scores for a team place in Ireland. Our thanks go to Gareth Wrentmore for volunteering to mark the entire competition.

Our next selection shoot is at Griffin Lloyd in a fortnight on Sunday 27th April… so we look forward to seeing a good turnout

Best wishes
