A busy last weekend for Welsh Selection shoots. At Fauxdegla SG, there was a double-header. On the Saturday, the weather was mild, but with heavy sporadic rain showers and a gusty wind, while Sunday was a calmer, less windy day-but 10C cooler….
It was good to see new shooters at these Welsh Selections too and both days shoots were well attended, with Sunday’s also being the Cheshire ABT competition-but neither day’s conditions affected Rhys Tucker, who ended up as Welsh High Gun for both days…..and what a way to celebrate your 21st birthday weekend!! On Sunday, there was the 100DTL Reg competition at the ground, with Chris Bushell and Peter Relph Joint High Guns with 100/296, while Wayne Clifton, was 3rd overall and Welsh High Gun, with a 99/292….
Great to see that over the weekend at Brook Bank SG, Simon Jenkins came away with High Gun at their UTR competition, with a 98…..well shot Simon!
At SW2000 on Sunday, was the 3rd NSK Welsh Qualifier. Congratulations to Joint High Guns with 98’s, were Mark Davies and Paul Heywood. Roy Partridge won B Class with a 93 and Alex Hughes won C Class with a 92. Another high scoring qualifier, with 18 of the 36 shooters, with a 90 or above!!
Dates for the NSK County Qualifiers for Anglesey are April 8th and April 15th-both Saturdays, at Anglesey CTC, Anglesey Showground, Mona LL65 4RW, with the NSK County Final being held at Crynant SG on Sunday, April 23rd

This coming weekend on Sunday, sees the 4th NSK Welsh Qualifier at Gloucester CSC and the 3rd DTL Welsh Qualifier at Fauxdegla SG. Good luck to all those taking part!

Have I forgotten anything? Another spare gun at the ABT qualifiers would have been good lol. With gun malfunctions, I shot 3 different guns over the weekend, including 2 borrowed from other shooters-so Thank You!
