Chairman’s New Year Message.
Just a quick note to update you all re some exciting changes within the board of the WCTSA.
At the last Board Meeting held on November 27th, 2019, the Board appointed Nicola Walker as their new General Secretary. All the Board would like to extend their warm welcome to Nicola, whose administrative skills will be well used I am sure going forward. Many of you may know Nicola as the manager of the Welsh English Sporting and FITASC Sporting Teams, as well as managing the Welsh National Skeet Team in 2016.
You will be able to find Nicolas’ contact details as the Secretary on the Website of course, using the new email address of Secretary@wctsa.co.uk.
Other developments are the appointment of two new Directors of the Association appointed out of the Board. These are Gavin Harvey and Emyr Davies. I would like to thank both Gavin and Emyr for putting themselves forward to serve the association in the additional role as Directors.
Also following the new Articles of Association adopted at this year’s AGM, we also appointed Gavin Harvey as the WCTSA Vice Chairman, who I am sure will ably assist me where necessary in Chairing and representing the Board where required.
As you may have seen from my report from this year’s AGM, we have been busy this year laying the foundations for the modernisation of the association. Now we have appropriate articles of Association in place we can now turn our attention to other administrative functions within the association that need updating. We will bring you news of these when we have discussed them, but rest assured we your board will be prioritising these issues based on organisational need.
You may also, at your Welsh grounds, notice our new membership flyers which the board have had produced, ably designed by Board Member Janine White, whose flair for design and art has I am sure you will agree been used to produce a modern relevant document. We will be providing these in the near future to all member grounds along with appropriate holders and banners for said grounds to display.
Finally can I take this opportunity to thank you all for your continued membership, to remind you that we as a Board are working on your behalf, so please ensure you let us know of any issues, as well as contributions you wish to see on your website, and then personally for me to hope you had a restful Christmas, and a happy New Year, and hoping you achieve new PB’s in 2020.
