The first Welsh Team qualifier of 2023, took place on Sunday at North Wales Shooting School. With a high standard of scoring, 15 Welsh shooters shot a 90 or more, with Lloyd Morris the Welsh High Gun with a 96 and Joint Overall High Gun. Great shooting!!
At SW2000, they held the last of their OTR Winter Series,with 20 shooters attending on a cold and wintry day.
On the day, Mark Evans was High Gun with an 85, with Dale Oram and Emyr Davies joint 2nd on 79, with Alan Williams and George Seaborne joint 4th only 1 behind on 78.
The overall Winter Series High Gun though, was Dale Oram, 2nd was Neil Jones and 3rd was Phil Dando. Congratulations all!!
Fauxdegla SG held their regular Saturday 50 OT and 50 UT, with Mark Shaw High Gun on OT, with Marc Potts 2nd and Mike Faux High Gun on UT, with Gareth Roberts in 4th. Well shot all!
At 2 Counties SG over the weekend, Phil Morgan was High Gun on a 99/296, with Bob Clarke taking 1st in AA with a 290. They also ended up winning the Malcolm Brown knockout competition.Well done both!!

On Sunday March 12th, at Dovey Valley SG, this year’s Bowen Sporting Challenge takes place. With great cash prizes and other spot prizes and over a different course to last year’s, it’s a great season starter for all shooters.
Committee members of the WCTSA will be there too, so come and say hello-or if you’re looking to join the WCTSA, then here’s a great opportunity to join and take part in a great shoot!
