What another fantastic weekend’s shooting for Welsh shooters!
With Welsh qualifiers in 4 different disciplines and Welsh successes in the BICTSF English Open FITASC, there’s a lot to report on!
The 1st & 2nd OSK qualifiers were held at SW2000. On Saturday, the High Gun was Anthony Cox with a 79 and on the Sunday, High Gun was D Davies on an 83! Well shot both!
Saturday saw the 2nd NSK qualifier take place at Fauxdegla Shooting Ground. A difficult day, with the wind moving the birds-but nonetheless, a great score of 97 saw Nigel Hodson take Welsh High Gun! Great shooting Nigel!
The 3rd DTL qualifier took place on Sunday at Holmes Chapel Shooting Ground and Joint High Guns were Robert Clarke and Will Andrews on 296/300! Well shot both!
Saturday also saw the 2nd OTR qualifier at Griffin Lloyd Shooting Ground. Shooting a 94, High Gun was Mike Wixey! Great shooting Mike!
Away from the Welsh qualifiers-Roundwood Shooting Ground, near Winchester was the venue for the 2-day BICTSF Team GB selection event and English Open. Richard (Brewster) Hughes came 3rd overall and 2nd in A Class on a 180 x 200 and Janine White shot a 166 x 200 to win the English Open Ladies High Gun, adding to the British Masters title she won only a few weeks ago! Janine also earned herself a place in the GB FITASC Ladies Team too.
Other Welsh shooters selected for the Team GB FITASC are- Rob Evans (Mens) and earning her first Team GB cap, Annalise Evans (Juniors)! Congratulations all!
