On Saturday, November 27th, at Maesmawr Hall Hotel near Caersws, WCTSA Board and Committee members, held a celebratory meal to thank Arthur Williams, for his many years of dedicated service to the WCTSA-latterly as President and to all shooters-ably supported by his wife, Rita and family.
The speeches were led by Rob Harrison, the WCTSA Chairman, in which he thanked them for everything that they had done for Welsh shooting, on local, national and international levels.
He presented to them, a new WCTSA trophy, which is to be presented yearly, to the person that has done the most to further Welsh shooting, named The Arthur & Rita Williams Trophy
In reply, both thanked the WCTSA for the evening and of naming this prestigious trophy on their behalf. Arthur and Rita also wished to convey their thanks to all the shooters and friends, that have supported Mid Wales Shooting Centre over the years.
The final speech came from Jonathan Williams and again, thanked the WCTSA for recognising the achievements of both Arthur and Rita.
