Such a busy weekend’s shooting again, across many of the disciplines!
The first mention this week is for Mike Wixey and his huge 122/125 in the British Shotgun Series Olympic Trap Qualification Round at Nuthampstead! Congratulations Mike!!
Also here, Welsh junior Rhys Lewis, won the bronze medal in the Junior Men’s OTR and Georgina Roberts won the silver medal in the Womens Trap OTR! Well shot all!!
In the British Shooting Shotgun Series for Olympic Skeet, Ben Llewellin shot a fantastic maximum score of 125/125 in the qualification round and then shot his way to a silver medal in the final! Well done Ben! Pictures courtesy of British Shooting & Norton Sport Photography
In Sporting, Martin Myers tied for High Gun with 114/120 and Mike Jones shot 113/120-both at the Jack Pyke Sporting at Sporting Targets, Bedford. Mike was joint 1st in AA Class. Nice shooting both!
At the DTL 100 Reg at Fauxdegla SG on Sunday, there was a 3-way tie for High Gun, between Alan Evans, Dennis Evans and Elis Pritchard on 99/295, 100/295 & 99/295 respectively! Great shooting all.
Sunday also saw the 5th Sporting Welsh Qualifier, at Hart Events.
Scoring was high, with 17 of the shooters shooting 90 or above! But coming out on top by 2 clays, was Pete Humphreys. Great shooting Pete.
