…….and then along come two World Champions!!!!!!

What a superb week of shooting from Welsh shooters, we’ve had this week!

Firstly, huge congratulations to Mick Harding for his outstanding achievement of becoming the 2022 FITASC Sporting World Veteran Champion at the 44th FITASC World Sporting Championship held at Orvieto Shooting Range, Italy!

Extreme heat over the four day competition didn’t deter Mick’s monumental efforts against some of the best FITASC shooters in the world.  His fantastic score of 180/200 also helped secure gold medals for the British Veteran Team.

And then if one World Chapion wasn’t enough, Katie Cowell was crowned the Ladies ABT World Champion at Fauxdegla SG-also the same weekend. Congratulations both on becoming World Champions!!

Also at the same event, Emyr Davies was C Class winner!

The weekend saw the OSK County Finals and Welsh Championship at Griffin Lloyd. Our thanks to Jackie Lloyd for hosting the event and bright sun and little wind, made for excellent targets. High Gun on 85 was Stephen Gale, Tony Cox 2nd on 82 and Deri Lewis 3rd on 77.  Congratulations all.

Further afield at the ISSF OSK World Cup in Changwon, Ben Llewellin went through qualification in 3rd place after a shoot-off on a score of 121 +4. And in the final, Ben missed out on competing for the Gold Medal by 1 target-but still won himself a Bronze Medal. Well done Ben!
