NEWS / REPORTS SEPTEMBER 2007
On the first day it was Welsh Vet Emyrs Roberts who lead the way with a 299 in the early starters. Ian Mullarkey also finished 299 only to be up staged by a perfect score of 300 by D.M.Newton.
Day two put a totally different complexion on the day as no mist and visibility was good. With only a point between the top 2 places Roberts ended on a 294 possibly dashing any hopes of a Welsh win. Mullarkey on the other hand posted another 299 only to be once again a brides maid as Newton posted his second 300 of the weekend.
Welsh competitors though gave a brilliant account of themselves as Emyrs Roberts took second place in the Vets category.
Dale Oram took first place honours in B class taking home a gun.
Our young junior T.L.Evans took first in C class again taking home a gun.
Ifor Williams had a draw in AA . Well done boy-yo's.
I'm sure I will have forgotten someone and if I have my apologies but in the mean time well done everybody.
On behalf of the W.T.C.S.A. shooting members I would like Southern Counties and their staff for the excellent weekend.
Regards: Phil Morgan
On a personal note I (Phil Morgan) would also like to congratulate Caz Trehearn on filling the vacant D.T.L. reps position as from the 29th August 07.
