Clwyd DTL Qualifiers - Score Information after 2 Qualification Shoots

After two qualifiers in Llandegla Shooting ground (6th August and 3rd of September), this is how the scores look for the Clwyd County DTL team hopefuls.

There are some decent scores posted already and a number of people will be hoping to throw a bad score away and improve of their current standing in the next qualifier.  So it's all to play for on the final qualifier which takes place on Sunday 1st October - at Llandegla Shooting Ground.

Griffin Lloyd Shooting Ground - Dyfed ABT Qualifier and Final Team News

J K, Joyce and their staff welcomed a strong contingent from Dyfed to Griffin Lloyd on the 3^rd of September for the Dyfed ABT county qualifier. The weather was good which made the 2 ½ hr journeys easier to bear.

Charlie Snelgrove led the scoreboard after the first 25 targets with 21ex25 followed by Olympic Skeet shot Gareth Wrentmore on 19 and Olympic Skeet team mate Del Davies on 18, a good result for both Gareth and Del who were both using borrowed guns.

The scoreboard looked a little different after the second round with Charlie posting a 20 to finish on 41, Gareth a fantastic 24 to end with 43 and Bryan Phillips adding a 23 to his earlier 18 to post a 41 while Del only managed a 13 to end on 31, Del’s hangover was getting worse.

Bryan Phillips started the second 50 strongly with a 23 with Charlie, Gareth and Dai Francis posting 20’s on the scoreboard. Welsh DTL Junior Alex Biddulph shot an 18 and Gareth Irving, WCTSA chairman Daff Davies and little brother Del all coming in with 17’s. Having never shot  ABT before Gareth Irving was now warming to it, adding a fine 23 to his previous 17 to finish on 40ex50, Charlie Snelgrove doubled up with another 20 to end with 40, Gareth Wrentmore shot 21 to end on 41ex50 and Bryan Phillips shot another 23 to finish with 46ex50.
