Welsh Single Barrel

News in from the first major trap event in the Welsh Down the Line shooters calendar......the 2009 Welsh Single Barrel and Double Rise Championships held at Mid Wales Shooting Centre - 8th March 2009.

The Welsh performed excellently - with Phil Morgan shooting 99 ex 100 to be crowned the Welsh Single Barrel Champion for 2009, Cas Trehearne was crowned Welsh Ladies Single Barrel champion for 2009 with a 92 ex 100. 

Alex Biddulph took the spoils on the double rise, as he was crowned as the Welsh Double Rise champion for 2009 with 45 ex 50.

It was an excellent event throughout and a great start to the season for the Welsh DTL shooters.

Thanks to Mid Wales Shooting Centre and the Williams family/staff for another excellent event.

SW2000 DTL Report and Final Winter Series

Final Winter Series Shoot at South Wales 2000
 

Seeing as the D.T.L. is season is upon us we had a few new faces shooting which was good.

Winner of AA grade went to Phil Morgan 100 x 298 followed by Dai Ricketts 100 x 293 and Ann Butler 97 x 291.

A grade was won by Russell Vaughan on 99 x 294,  T.Moseley 97 x 287,  JK Price 96 x 283.

B grade J.Cramer 98 x 289,  G.Morgan 97 x 283 and A.Jones 92 x 269.

C grade A.Oliver on 85 x 236.

That was the class prizes for the day and the final episode of the winter series, but how would it affect the overall results ?

The overall SW 2000 Winter Series winners are as follows:

H/G Phil Morgan 891 x 900

AA Dale Oram 866 x 900

A Russell Vaughan 871 x 900

B Chris Davies 795 x 900

C Gail Morgan 837 x 900

AGM News

A note for all the WCTSA members diaries - the 2009 AGM will take place on 28th March at Mid Wales Shooting Centre.   Full postal address as follows (with postcode for Sat Nav/GPS users):

The meeting is due to commence at 2:30 pm.
