South Wales 2000 - 100 DTL - Feb 18th 2007
"Beagen's Delight"
DTL new comer Gary Beagen is champing at
the bit, and cannot wait for the Welsh Team DTL selection shoots to kick
off.
Having made his mark with an impressive performance at the 2006 DTL County Final - Gary is seeking a spot in the Welsh DTL team for 2007.
At this South Wales 2000 shoot - he missed his first target out (as many shooters have done in the past) and took High Gun by shooting the next 99 targets clear (pending second barrels) finishing with 99 x 293. New blood in the team is always welcome and this chap has all the ingredients and capabilities to fill the spot. He is one to watch out for - as the kick off to the season is just around the corner.
Although Dale Oram matched Beagen at the fifty stage, he missed his last target on the third stage handing victory even closer to Gary.
Some shooters had taken there eye off the
board for a short spell and Veteran shooter Tony Clough was at the fifty
stage with only 2 points behind Beagen and was the only shooter left who
could thwart Beagens glory. At this point Clough had to go
straight on his last round to match Beagen's score and take the day to a
shoot off. Having a disaster on his last gave Beagen his first
ever victory at South Wales 2000.
