AGM News 2006

The Welsh Clay Target Shooting Association AGM took place on February 18th 2006 at Mid Wales Shooting Centre.

As well as the usual AGM business, a number of presentations were made by WCTSA chairman Daff Davies on behalf of the association.

The first presentation was made to Roland Hill who has retired from the association as Treasurer after 29 years of service.  The picture below shows Daff Davies (left) presenting a crystal glass decanter set to Roland Hill (right) as a token of the appreciation for all the hard work and commitment performed over the years.

The second presentation was made for two Olympic skeet shooters who have been members of the Welsh team for 25 years - some achievement indeed.  Pictured receiving the award from Daff Davies (centre) are Gareth Wrentmore (left) and Del Davies (right).

Finally and certainly not last, the award for the WCTSA sports personality of the year - which was presented to Ann Butler by Daff Davies.   Ann's achievements for the year included British Open Ladies Champion and Aggregate Ladies High Gun over the 2 days of the DTL International and British Open. 

This was Ann's first International after only taking up clay shooting 18 months previously.  Well done Ann - what a remarkable season and congratulations on winning the prestigious award, we wish you continued success for the future.
