Squad numbers were nearly doubled from last years final partly due to Dyfed (competing for the first time) fielding a full complement of shooters. With such a large number of squads it was decided to make this a 75 bird competition.
There was plenty of friendly banter between the Counties all trying to
win overall winning County trophy and the end result was extremely close.
Mid Glamorgan just pipped Gwent to the post by 4 clays, 382 to 378, with
Clwyd coming 3rd with 366, Dyfed 349, South Glam 340 and Powys 332.
The winning Mid Glamorgan team can be seen below:
South Glamorgan took some silverware home with Phil Dando winning overall High gun and the Captains cup on 70ex75.
Host County Powys won the ladies team event but it was Mary Lloyd from Mid Glamorgan who won the Ladies title.
The Veteran and the Junior individual winners both came from Gwent, T.Griffiths and Tom Costin respectively and Gwent also went on to take the Veteran and Junior team events as well.
The picture of the individual winners can be found here:

Many thanks go to JK,Joyce and staff at Griffin Lloyd and also all the County co-ordinators for their hard work at putting the teams together, some at very short notice.
